|Reach Out To Asia to host first-ever Global Youth Consultation|
Reach Out To Asia (ROTA), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), is set to host the first ever Global Youth Consultation for the United Nation’s World Humanitarian Summit (WHS). Taking place in Doha from 1st to 2nd September 2015, the Consultation will bring together over 100 youth from around the world between the ages of 18 and 30, including 50 young men and women from Qatar.

This Ramadan, Reach Out To Asia’s (ROTA) Goodwill Ambassador and social media celebrity Ghanim Al Muftah, undertook an emotional visit to the Palestinian refugee camp Nahr El Bared, Lebanon, to witness the beginning of a new and exciting community sports centre that will benefit 5,000 local children living there.

|ROTA and Vodafone Qatar build education and humanitarian legagy in Indonesia|
Reach Out To Asia (ROTA), a member of Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development (QF), has successfully concluded a trip to Indonesia where 24 ROTA volunteers from Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) travelled to enhance access to education for children in Al Bayat village, Indonesia. The trip was part of ROTA’s International Outreach Program, sponsored by Vodafone Qatar.

|Sherborne School Qatar collect clothing for Syrian Refugees|
Last year, a Sherborne Qatar parent started a school-based initiative, collecting goods to relieve the suffering of Syrian refugees in Lebanon’s Bekka Valley. With the assistance of Etihad Airways Cargo and a local Lebanese charity, the initiative was an outstanding success and much needed aid was delivered to the Arsal camp. This year, the increased suffering of the refugees has demanded an increased commitment from the Sherborne Qatar community.

At the conclusion of a major education and community development summit in Doha, youth leaders from 23 countries – across the Middle East, Asia and Africa - announced the formation of a special task force to give young people a more prominent voice in building “peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development” across the region.

EMPOWER Workshops: Lessons from leaders in Qatar and around the world
Day 2 of EMPOWER 2015 featured special workshops by high profile peace advocates and social entrepreneurs from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and Nigeria. According to EMPOWER’s Youth Planning Committee, His Excellency Sheikh Mohammad Al Thani, Milinda Rajapaksha, Ajarat Bada, and Mohammad Bakhrieba hosted special workshops on Day 2 of the three-day conference. These workshops were designed to equip EMPOWER's 450 youth delegates with the skills, knowledge, values and ethics needed to move their communities toward realising the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals related to peaceful societies and education.
